I'm Mark Fasel — a Solutions Architect, developer, and UX-certified engineer with over 20 years of experience designing systems that connect technology, people, and purpose.
Current Work
Currently, I serve as a Solutions Architect at LIFE SURGE, where I lead systems architecture and product integration across CRM, marketing, events, and content platforms. My role bridges product vision with technical execution — designing scalable systems that empower teams, streamline operations, and advance the mission of building God's Kingdom through business and technology.
Experience
Before LIFE SURGE, I worked as a Senior Software Developer at Roghnu, specializing in data integrations, financial systems, and backend automation. I architected secure APIs, built data mapping interfaces, and developed real-time Sage Intacct workflows that streamlined financial operations and improved system reliability at scale.
Earlier in my career, I held engineering and UX leadership roles at Scorpion, Publix Super Markets, Ramsey Solutions, and Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital — where I helped modernize platforms, create design systems, and mentor developers to build cleaner, more maintainable software.
Side Projects
Beyond my professional work, I'm building a suite of products at the intersection of AI and marketing, designed to help creators and teams simplify content creation, automation, and growth. I'm also developing Clue Finder Tours, a family-friendly adventure and city exploration platform inspired by scavenger hunts and storytelling experiences — similar to LetsRoam.com — bringing families and travelers together through interactive discovery.
In 2024, my wife and I launched Next Level Tutoring, an online math tutoring business for 1st to 4th graders that helps students grow in confidence and skill.

LIFE SURGE
As Solutions Architect at LIFE SURGE, I lead the design and implementation of scalable systems that unify CRM, marketing, event, and content platforms. My work focuses on architecting integrations between HubSpot, Salesforce, and Asana, developing internal documentation for platform visibility, and aligning technical strategy with organizational mission. This role bridges faith, technology, and leadership—advancing innovation and operational excellence through purposeful system design.
Roghnu
At Roghnu, I developed scalable financial data integration platforms and custom software solutions powering enterprise accounting and BI workflows. My focus was on API-driven Laravel and Vue applications, Sage Intacct automations, and data mapping systems that improved operational efficiency and reporting accuracy. I architected secure REST APIs, optimized backend processes, and reduced large data payloads from 60MB+ to under 60KB, dramatically enhancing system performance.
Scorpion
At Scorpion, I worked on internal sales and marketing tools with CSX and built enterprise solutions like the Enterprise Portal for franchise clients. I also created a responsive site for franchisees and developed a React billing app. My focus was on front-end development, adhering to ADA standards, and ensuring a seamless, accessible user experience across devices.
Scorpion Shared UI
I built a full design system and front-end framework using SCSS, CSS3, and modern web standards. Inspired by frameworks like Tailwind, and systems such as Gazelle from Dave Ramsey and IBM’s Carbon, I crafted scalable, responsive components that enhanced user experience and accessibility.
Next Level Tutoring
Developed a fully responsive online business in 96 hours as a challenge. Focused on business dev, AI/ChatGPT priming, social optimization, and building a website for (Next Level Tutoring)[https://www.nextleveltutoring.net]. Launched with TutorBoss funnel & ad strategy. Reach out to learn more!
Fortnite X & Discord Bot
I’m creating a Fortnite bot for Discord and X that auto-posts item shop updates at reset times, keeping communities informed in real-time. It will expand to other platforms, offering creators a complete automated solution for shop updates and enhancing engagement.
DaveRamsey.com E-Commerce UX
I worked on converting legacy jQuery and Handlebars to React for Dave Ramsey’s e-commerce front end, ensuring secure, multi-domain integration. The checkout module, embedded via iframes, was styled dynamically to match each site’s design. It fit within the Gazelle design framework, which I helped develop, allowing customization and consistency across projects.
I like building things
I’m constantly building, learning, and launching new projects. Recently, I’ve been developing an AI-powered app for marriage using React Native and TailwindCSS to help couples connect better. I love creating solutions, from tutoring platforms to bots for Fortnite updates. My journey is all about applying the latest tech, testing ideas, and bringing concepts to life. Each project is a chance to innovate and grow, pushing boundaries in web and mobile development.

Custom Design System and UI Framework

Developed a full design system for Scorpion that focused on ensuring consistency for the user experience across our internal and client facing products. I built a custom framework that utilized Sass and Vanialla CSS and took inspiration from other frameworks like TailwindCss and Bootstrap as well as design systems such as Gazzelle by Dave Ramsey, Carbon by IBM and a few others! In addition, it focuses on an NPM package that can be deployed to all sites and used in the React, Angular, and custom sites. It also features custom UI components! - G
Gaming eSports Community

I have been developing as a hobby an eSports (Guardian Gaming) community and organization. The main app is being built with React and integrate several apis including, X, Twitch, and YouTube. I have built a discord server and currently building a python and react app for posting to X my support a creator code and Fortnite item shop image at the reset each day as well as to my discord server as a custom bot. It's been a fun side project and hobby. - C

Developed a serverless architecture angular project that allows users to buy and sell construction equipment. The client wanted the architecture to utilize Amazon S3 and maintain a simple build. The entire site was done using Angular and latest standards at the time.
